This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and friendly IT Support Company based in Leeds. On a day to day basis you will provide support via our helpdesk to a multitude of varying customers setup. We have a team of three 2nd line engineers for which you will serve as an escalation point and take ownership of more complex server/network issues. This is an exciting position for a candidate who enjoys helping customers and seeing resolution through to a final fix. Some support tickets may be escalated to a site visit where required and you may be responsible for attending. The majority of our customers are within a 40 mile radius of our office. Due to the senior role and depending on ability you may get the opportunity to assist in a pre-sales capacity, R&D and help with solution design.

Personal Attributes:

The successful applicant must have excellent communication skills and act in a polite and professional manor at all times. You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a problem solving role covering the below key experience topics.

Key Experience:

The ideal candidate would have extensive knowledge covering all points below, but we would also invite for interview applicants that cover a majority but not all. Experience in other unlisted areas will also be viewed as beneficial but not essential.

  • Remote/Desktop Support to end users
  • PC/Server/Network Infrastructure Support
  • Windows Server 2008/2012 + Windows SBS 2008/2011 – installing/configuring/support
  • Strong Exchange skills 2007/2010/2013 – including ability to use ESEUTIL
  • SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 – provide assistance to programmers/developers
  • Group Policy/AD/DNS/DHCP – making changes and fault finding
  • Citrix Administration
  • Windows 7/8 + Office 2010/2013
  • Hyper-V/ESX/ESXi – virtual environments
  • Backup technologies and AV Software
  • Hardware Firewalls and routers – understanding of IP routing and no NAT setups
  • Office 365 – Migrations and Support.
